Sorrento

“Everything is serene, everything is calm, everything is blue, the water as the sky, and this little city, seen from the sea, can be compared to a dove’s nest”

P.J.R. Denne-Baron

This coast is so beautiful and inaccessible that according to legend it is where the sirens lived, legendary creatures half bird and half woman who with their talons devoured anyone who ventured past. Of this myth only three rocks remain, each named after one of the three sirens: Partenòpe, Leucosìa and Lìgeia. The town is also famous for the kindness and hospitality of its inhabitants and for its picturesque sunsets over the sea with Punta del Capo, Ischia and Procida in the background.
